Demon Slayer (or Kimetsu No Yaiba) is a popular anime/manga series that has definitely left its mark in shōnen history. As the second season of Demon Slayer slowly comes to an end, we've had quite an entertaining time seeing the triumphs and troubles the Demon Slayer Corps encounter on their quest to defeat the bloodthirsty demons. Each character has a distinct personality that sets them apart and makes them a memorable addition to the Demon Slayer story.

With such colourful and contrasting personalities, it's interesting to see how well some of them embody the typical traits of the twelve Zodiac signs.

Here are the Demon Slayer characters that best suit each Zodiac sign:

Aquarius - Giyu Tomioka 

Aquarius is known as the Water Bearer of the zodiac family. Similarly, Giyu Tomioka is the Water Hashira of the Demon Slayer Corps. Like Giyu, Aquarians are known for their independence and avoidance of emotional expression. Aquarians will often wear an unbothered expression which is similar to Giyu's permanently unbothered expression, even in the presence of a high-ranking demon. 

Aquarians are also known for being humanitarians that actively seek to make the world a better place. This is comparable to Giyu's strong sense of justice for humankind against demons.

Pisces - Mitsuri Kanroji

Affectionate, empathetic, deeply intuitive – Love Hashira Mitsuri Kanroji best fits the Pisces sign. Both Pisces and Mitsuri are known for feeling things deeply and showing their love for others through their actions (and neverending compliments!)

Like Mitsuri, Pisces often display introverted qualities and are perceived as quiet individuals – but don't underestimate them. Both are incredibly strong and aren't afraid to put their foot down, especially when it comes to injustices.

Aries - Kyojuro Rengoku

Fiery and passionate – Flame Hashira Kyojuro Rengoku perfectly matches all the qualities of an Aries. Like Rengoku, Aries is seen as the trailblazers of the zodiac. They often dive headfirst into the most challenging situations and will do so with 100% commitment.

Similar to Rengoku in the Mugen Train arc, Aries will put everything they have into completing a challenge – even if it means risking it all (No, we're still not over what happened).

Taurus - Zenitsu Agatsuma

Zenitsu Agatsuma embodies the traits of a Taurus in more ways than one. When awake, Zenitsu shows the stubbornness of a Taurus. He'll often run away at the sight of danger which sometimes annoys the people around him.

Despite their stubbornness, both Zenitsu and Tauruses are hardworking and persistent. Zenitsu still wants to live up to the expectations set for him by the Demon Slayer Corps and will try his hardest to achieve his goals. Like a Taurus, Zenitsu is a dependable friend who will get things done despite it all.

Gemini - Nezuko Kamado

Like Nezuko Kamado, Geminis are known to be kind, curious, and adaptable – with a darker side to them. Despite becoming a demon, Nezuko continued to show her kindness and compassion towards others, especially to humans that she vowed never to hurt. 

Nezuko is also adaptable and shows this as she becomes quickly accustomed to her new demonic abilities in a short time frame (to the surprise of upper rank demons in season 2).

Cancer - Tanjiro Kamado

Cancers are protective, compassionate, intuitive, and love to take care of the people around them – it just makes sense all-around good boy Tanjiro Kamado to be a Cancer too. Much like Tanjiro's crazy sense of smell, Cancers are super intuitive. They can intuit relationships, ideas, and motivations before anyone has actually spoken.

Cancers are also super loyal and will go to the ends of the earth to help someone they love – something that Tanjiro has been doing for his sister Nezuko since day one.

Leo - Inosuke Hashibira

Dramatic, fiery, and self-assured can describe both Leos and Inosuke Hashibira in a nutshell. Like Inosuke's quest to be the best demon slayer in the Taisho-era, Leos are always ready to blaze a trail and fight injustice along the way.

Both Leos and Inosuke are super loyal to the ones they care about and will fight to the death for them. This trait makes them someone you'd be fortunate to have around in your life.

Virgo - Shinobu Kocho

Virgos are known to be quite analytical and kind – just like Insect Hashira Shinobu Kocho. With a vast knowledge of poison, Shinobu uses her keen intellect to help fulfill her Hashira role. Like a true Virgo, Shinobu is always willing to learn more to expand her personal encyclopedia.

Shinobu is also known for her grace and gentle demeanour, a common trait among Virgos. Both can charm others by their wit and ability to put others at ease.

Libra - Tengen Uzui 

No sign in the zodiac is as keen on aesthetics as Libras. In the Demon Slayer Corps, no member is as flashy ✨ as Sound Hashira Tengen Uzui. Like Uzui, Libras are intelligent, gracious, and always willing to put others before themselves.

Libras also recognize that there's room for more than one great love in their life – similar to how Uzui has not one but three beautiful wives that he treats like queens and puts first above all.

Scorpio - Genya Shinazugawa

Independent and unafraid to blaze their own trail – Genya Shinazugawa exhibits several traits of a Scorpio. Scorpios can seem intimidating and closed off, much like Genya. At first, Genya appears to fit the "lone wolf" type who refuses any help from others. But once people look past the exterior, they find a loyal person who's passion knows no bounds.

Like most Scorpios, Genya is not afraid to be different. While most members of the Demon Slayer Corps wield Nichirin Swords, Genya is known for his Nichirin Shotgun (which isn't used by any other member of the Corps).

Sagittarius - Sanemi Shinazugawa

The Sagittarius are strong-willed individuals just like Wind Hashira Sanemi Shinazugawa. As a natural-born leader, the Sagittarius aren't afraid to go after what they want, regardless of what other people think. Much like the independent Sagittarius, Sanemi isn't afraid to blaze their own path – and often prefers it that way to protect those around him.

But past this shell, Sanemi possesses the heart and big-spirit traits of a Sagittarius that is still waiting to be discovered. (No spoilers here!)

Capricorn - Obanai Iguro

Serpent Hashira Obanai Iguro possesses several qualities of a Capricorn. A natural rule-follower, Capricorns thrive on order and strict rules – just like Obanai. Obanai is known for his discipline and strictness when it comes to following Demon Slayer rules.

Like a Capricorn, Obanai is tenacious and has an incredible sense of determination. Both Obanai and Capricorns will work towards their goals no matter how exhausting or tedious. Obanai will do anything to protect his friends and the people that he cares for.
